Section 01

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Tigreaux Marketing Strategies is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor disabilities.

We believe that accessibility is not just a legal obligation but a fundamental aspect of good design and good business. Every visitor to tigreaux.com deserves a positive, frustration-free experience regardless of how they access the web.

We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so, adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target standard. Where we fall short, we are committed to identifying and addressing those gaps as quickly as possible.

Section 02

Accessibility Standard

Our target is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG is developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is organized around four core principles, often referred to as POUR:

  • Perceivable — Information and interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive, including through screen readers and alternative text for images.
  • Operable — Interface components and navigation must be operable via keyboard, not just mouse, and with sufficient time for users to complete tasks.
  • Understandable — Information and operation of the interface must be understandable, including readable text and predictable navigation.
  • Robust — Content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including current and future assistive technologies.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice in guidance on ADA website compliance and is widely recognized as the appropriate benchmark for small business websites operating in the United States.

Section 03

Current Conformance Status

We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, and we are actively working to address known gaps.

Feature Status Notes
Semantic HTML structure Implemented Proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and semantic tags throughout
Image alt text Implemented All meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked aria-hidden
Keyboard navigation Partial Most interactive elements are keyboard accessible; some custom components are being improved
ARIA labels on interactive elements Implemented Buttons, forms, and navigation elements include appropriate ARIA attributes
Color contrast Partial Primary text meets AA contrast ratios; some secondary text elements are under review
Focus indicators Partial Visible focus states are present; we are working to ensure consistency across all elements
Video content captions Not applicable All videos on this site are decorative background visuals with no audio content
Form accessibility Implemented Contact forms are provided by HubSpot which maintains its own accessibility compliance
Accessibility toolbar or widget Planned We are evaluating adding a third-party accessibility widget to provide visitors with additional controls
Section 04

Measures We Have Taken

To support accessibility, Tigreaux Marketing Strategies has taken the following measures:

Technical Implementation

  • Used semantic HTML5 elements throughout the site including proper heading hierarchy (H1 through H4), landmark regions, and descriptive link text
  • Added ARIA labels to all interactive elements including navigation, buttons, accordions, and form fields
  • Marked all decorative background videos as aria-hidden so screen readers ignore them
  • Provided descriptive alt text on all meaningful images including team photos
  • Ensured all contact forms include labeled fields and accessible error handling through HubSpot
  • Used sufficient font sizes throughout, with a minimum body text size of 14px and responsive typography that scales appropriately

Design Practices

  • Selected a color palette that provides sufficient contrast for primary text against backgrounds
  • Avoided using color alone to convey information
  • Designed interactive elements to be distinguishable from surrounding content
  • Ensured all page content is readable and functional at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling

Ongoing Practices

  • Review accessibility considerations when adding new content or making design changes
  • Respond promptly to user-reported accessibility barriers
  • Monitor developments in WCAG guidelines and assistive technology compatibility
Section 05

Known Limitations and Issues

We are aware of the following known limitations and are actively working to address them:

  • Keyboard focus consistency — Some custom interactive elements including the expandable service cards and FAQ accordions may not provide fully consistent keyboard focus behavior across all browsers. We are improving this.
  • Secondary text contrast — Some supporting text elements, including small labels and secondary descriptive text, may not meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required at Level AA. We are reviewing and updating these elements.
  • Third-party content — HubSpot forms and any embedded third-party widgets are subject to those providers’ own accessibility practices, which are outside our direct control. We select third-party tools that maintain accessibility commitments.
  • Mobile touch targets — Some interactive elements on mobile may fall below the recommended 44x44px touch target size. We are addressing this in ongoing mobile optimization work.
Found something we missed? If you encounter any accessibility barrier not listed here, please tell us right away. We take every report seriously and will work to resolve it promptly. Email us at info@tigreaux.com with as much detail as possible about what you were trying to do and what happened.
Section 06

Technologies Used

tigreaux.com relies on the following technologies to deliver accessible content:

  • HTML5 — Semantic markup for structure and meaning
  • CSS3 — Visual presentation and responsive layout
  • JavaScript — Interactive components including accordions and navigation
  • ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) — Supplemental attributes that improve screen reader compatibility for dynamic content
  • WordPress — Content management platform
  • HubSpot — Contact forms and CRM

The site is tested for compatibility with the following assistive technologies and browsers:

  • Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver (iOS and macOS)
  • Keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
  • Browser zoom up to 200%
  • High contrast mode on Windows
Note on JavaScript Some interactive features on this site, such as expanding service cards and FAQ accordions, rely on JavaScript. If JavaScript is unavailable in your browser, these elements will still be visible but may not expand or collapse interactively. All content within these elements remains accessible as static text.
