Every Dog Deserves a Buddy
Buddy Love Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Jolene Dettman, with the invaluable support of Kelly Bruer and a dedicated team of volunteers who share one common belief: every dog deserves a safe, loving home. What started as a passion project has grown into a rescue operation that saves an average of 25 dogs per month through an extensive network of foster families.
The rescue has built a genuinely thriving community on Facebook, where adoptable dogs are posted, shared, and celebrated in real time. They are also listed on Petfinder, connecting them with adopters searching for specific breeds, ages, and sizes. Behind the scenes, running a rescue at this scale means managing a surprisingly complex set of tools: platforms for showcasing available dogs, collecting donations, processing adoption applications, fielding foster applications, managing inquiries, and keeping their foster network connected and well-resourced.
The people at Buddy Love run lean and work hard. The decision to build their website for free and donate their domain for three years was not a difficult one. Organizations doing this kind of work deserve a digital presence that matches their impact.

A Digital Home for Every Dog Looking for Theirs
When Jolene and Kelly came to Tigreaux, they had a strong foundation: an active and successful Facebook community, a Petfinder listing, and a clear vision for what the rescue needed to grow. What they did not have was a central hub that could bring all of it together in one place.
Buddy Love was already using a collection of separate tools to manage the rescue: platforms for showcasing available dogs, collecting donations, processing adoption applications, fielding foster applications, handling inquiries, and keeping their foster network resourced and connected. The website needed to serve as the anchor point for all of it, creating clear pathways for every type of visitor regardless of why they came.
Tigreaux built buddylovedogrescue.org to be clean, warm, and purposeful. The site tells the rescue’s story, highlights available dogs, and guides visitors toward the right action whether they want to adopt, donate, apply to foster, or simply learn more. A dedicated foster portal gives Jolene’s network of homes a shared space to connect and access the resources that make fostering easier. And it all works alongside Facebook and Petfinder rather than replacing them, completing a digital presence that is finally as professional as the organization itself.
